We get asked this a lot. "How did you two start a business together?" And the answer is not as polished as people expect. There was no big lightbulb moment. No perfectly timed business plan. No investor backing. Just two women who looked at each other one day and said we could do this. So we did.


It started with a problem we kept seeing

Between us, we had been to a lot of events. Birthdays, baby showers, corporate functions, charity galas, weddings. And we noticed something that kept bothering us. Beautiful events were expensive.... not because they had to be, but because the people planning them did not always know where to spend and where to save. They were overpaying for things guests never noticed and underpaying for things that made all the difference.

We knew we could fix that. We had the eye for it, the connections, and the genuine love for the craft of making a space feel like something.

So in 2023, we stopped talking about it and started building.

The early days were not glamorous

We are going to be honest with you because we think honesty is more useful than a highlight reel.

The early days were a lot of late nights, a lot of figuring things out as we went, and a lot of moments where we had to remind each other why we started. Building a business while also living your life... work, family, everything else is not for the faint of heart.

But here is what kept us going: every single time we set up for an event and watched it come together, we felt it. That feeling of knowing you gave someone a day they will never forget. You either love it or you do not. We love it.

What NL Creative Group actually is

We are a women-owned event production, rental, and consulting firm based in Chicago. But more than that, we are two people who genuinely care about your event like it is our own.

We offer full event planning, day-of coordination, catering support, audio-visual production, and a growing inventory of rental pieces; chairs, tables, chargers, glassware, placemats, disco balls, throne chairs, and more. We are building the collection we wish had been available to us when we first started attending events and thinking "this could be so much better."

What we want you to know about us

We deliver luxury service at prices that are actually accessible. That matters to us deeply. Beautiful events should not be reserved for people with unlimited budgets. We believe everyone deserves a well-executed, thoughtfully designed event.

We listen. Really listen. We are not here to impose our vision on your day. We are here to pull your vision out of you, help you articulate it, and then execute it better than you imagined.
